Dolly-Parton
Born on Jan. 19th, 1946, on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn into a low-income family which would later comprise 12 kids Dolly Parton learned early to be free from life's hardships with her vast and imaginative imagination. Prior to learning how to compose or read the first song she ever composed, she was composing the music she composed herself. The first time she picked up a guitar was at the age of 8 and began performing on an Knoxville Tenn radio station at eleven years old. That same year, she recorded her debut album on Gold Band Records an independent small-scale label. When she was still in highschool she made her name locally however she longed for a bigger stage. Her move to Nashville the day after graduating in 1964. Dumb Blonde was her first track to hit the charts for Monument Records. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated presenter on television at the time, was in search for a singer for his program. Parton agreed to the position in 1967 signed with RCA Records in 1968 and began singing for The Grand Ole Opry in 1969. Parton left the show however, in 1974 because her solo albums such as Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene beat out their collaborative albums. Following their break-up, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it went to number. 1 for the first time in 1974.
